چکیده
Abstract The winged bean is an underutilized legume that adapted to the tropics. It has good prospects as a significant multi-purpose food crop including human nutrition, cattle feed, and environmental protection. However, little research attention been given address identified constraints, especially low yield in Nigeria. To improve its potential, GGE biplot analysis was used identify high-yielding stable genotypes, previously collected from continent of Asia, Nigeria for improvement. Twenty genotypes were being evaluated under rainfed condition at three locations (Ibadan, Ile-Ife, Kishi) two years, comprising six environments. obtained results showed seed (SY) ranged 805.61 kg.ha −1 (Ibadan) 1,096.35 (Kishi), with SY 988.42 across locations. reached first flowering, 50% podding, 70% physiological maturity 74, 80, 93, 137 days after planted, respectively principal component (PC) axes captured 71.5% total variation, where PC1 PC2 responsible 36.6% 34.9%, respectively. Genotype, environment, their interaction had effect on SY. Environments IB20 IF20 adjudged most ideal environments discriminate between genotypes. Genotype Tpt-12 stable. would be recommended commercial farming southwestern selected are hereby promising parental lines grain improvement programs.

TThe existence of genotype– environment interaction requires that the performance of genotypes be tested in a wide range of environmental conditions so that the resulting information can increase the efficiency of their selection and introduction. For this purpose, this study using 11 selected lines from uniform national experiments, along with control figures of Saral and Anna and two advanced...
متن کاملGGE Biplot Analysis of Genotype × Environment Interaction in Wheat-Agropyron Disomic Addition Lines
Identification of the genetic architecture of phenotypic stability and management of adaptational genes is a prerequisite for improvement of adaptation. To locate the genes controlling adaptation, disomic addition lines of agropyron (agropyron elongatum, 2n=2x=14) into the genetic background of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L., 2n=6x=42, cv. ‘Chinese Spring’=CS) were used in a randomized compl...
متن کاملAnalysis of grain yield stability and assessment of genotype × environment interaction for grain sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) genotypes
The interaction of genotype × environment creates complications in yield prediction and is a challenge for agronomy and plant breeding programs. To evaluate grain yield stability and genotype × environment interaction for 18 local and exotic grain sorghum cultivars, lines, and hybrids, a field experiment was conducted using randomized complete block design with three replications in four region...
